Postdoctoral Researchers and Postdoctoral Fellows may be eligible to participate in the Supplemental Retirement Annuity Plan of the University of Pennsylvania.
Under this retirement plan, eligible postdoctoral trainees may defer a portion of their eligible compensation each payroll period to the retirement plan.
NRSA Postdoctoral Fellows are not eligible to participate in Penn’s retirement plan.
Eligibility may depend on appointment type, compensation structure, and Penn benefits rules. Postdoctoral trainees with questions about retirement eligibility should contact the Penn Employee Solution Center or review Penn HR guidance.
