Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts
On this Page
Description
Eligible Postdoctoral Researchers and Postdoctoral Fellows may participate in Penn’s Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) programs.
These accounts allow eligible postdoctoral trainees to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for certain eligible health care or dependent care expenses that are not covered by other benefit plans.
Flexible Spending Accounts are administered through WageWorks/HealthEquity. Contribution limits, claim deadlines, eligible expenses, and plan rules may change from year to year.
Postdoctoral trainees should review Penn HR guidance and the current Postdoctoral Researchers and Fellows Benefits Enrollment Guide for current eligibility, contribution limits, enrollment instructions, and claim submission deadlines.
Penn Policy and Related Guidance
For current Flexible Spending Account information, postdoctoral trainees should review Penn HR benefits guidance.
