PennKey Two-Step Verification

Description
PennKey Two-Step Verification provides an added layer of security when accessing PennKey-protected websites, applications, and systems.
All PennKey holders are required to enroll in Two-Step Verification to protect their personal data and improve the University’s overall security. After logging in with a PennKey and password, users are prompted to verify their identity using a second method, such as a mobile phone or another approved device.
Two-Step offers multiple verification options so users can access Penn systems even when they are not connected to cellular data or Wi-Fi. With Two-Step, personal and University data remain better protected if a PennKey password is compromised.
Postdoctoral trainees should enroll in Two-Step Verification after creating their PennKey and should review available verification options to ensure they can access Penn systems when needed.
