The strength of postdoctoral support at Penn is embodied by a variety of partners and programs that are fueled by faculty, staff, postdocs, and external partners, both local and national.

Biomedical Postdoctoral Programs

The Biomedical Postdoctoral Programs (BPP) manages the appointments of postdocs in the biomedical research. BPP provides professional development programs and opportunities, and collaborates with the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs on initiatives for the postdoc community at Penn.

Du Bois Postdoctoral Circle

The primary mission of the Du Bois Postdoctoral Circle is to support the educational, professional, and social growth of black postdocs and other marginalized postdoctoral scholars at the University of Pennsylvania.

National Postdoctoral Association

The primary aim of the NPA is to improve the postdoctoral experience by supporting a culture of inclusive connection. At the individual, organizational, and national levels, the NPA facilitates enhanced professional growth, raises awareness, and collaborates with stakeholders in the postdoc community.

Penn Postdoctoral Association

The Penn Postdoctoral Association (PPA) seeks to foster a sense of community among all postdocs on campus, provide resources for career and personal development, and provide a framework for representation on campus and in the local community for the postdoctoral population.

Career Services

Career Services support postdocs throughout the career search process, from helping postdocs present themselves well both on paper and in person to potential employers by equipping them with the knowledge and strategies to help land a job offer.

International Student and Scholar Services

ISSS supports international postdocs by offering a wide range of support for both immigration and integration services.
