Description
SPIN, the Sponsored Programs Information Network, is a funding opportunity database that provides information on government and private funding sources in the United States and abroad.
Postdoctoral trainees can use SPIN to search for funding opportunities and filter results by eligibility type, sponsor type, project location, deadline, grant type, keyword, and other criteria.
SPIN includes more than 40,000 funding opportunities from more than 10,000 global sponsors. The University of Pennsylvania subscribes to SPIN and provides access through PennERA.
Searching and Alerts
SPIN allows users to search for funding opportunities using a range of criteria, including sponsor type, deadline, project location, grant type, and new or recently updated opportunities.
Users may save search queries and return to saved results through the SPIN navigation menu. To save searches or entries, users must access SPIN through their logged-in PennERA account.
SPIN also allows users to set up automated email alerts to receive daily or weekly notifications about recent funding opportunities.
