Dr. David Li, a postdoctoral researcher at the Perelman School of Medicine, is one of seven recipients of the American Liver Foundation 2023 Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Awards, which includes $25,000 in funding.
Li’s work explores how a diet high in fat and cholesterol causes the formation of lipid crystals in the liver and how that formation plays a role in Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) progression.
