Terrence Jewell
Bio
Terrence is an applied microeconomist specializing in urban economics and housing. His research explores the costs and benefits of cities, focusing on the agglomeration forces that draw people together and the dispersion forces that push them apart. He is also interested in the internal structure of cities, particularly the organization of economic activity within them. He has current work in progress focusing on city zoning reform and its impact on residential location choices and business establishments. He has additional current working papers, including one that examines the impact of housing demand shocks on home appraisal accuracy, with a focus on the effects of the shift to remote work during the COVID-19 pandemic. Another paper analyzes the economic effects of stadium construction on local economies.”
