Bio

A native of Stone Mountain, GA by way of Decatur, GA, Dr. Ralph E. White III is a Provost Postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine in the Department of Cancer Biology. He received his PhD in Pharmacology in 2023 from the University of Minnesota Medical School, under the advisement of Dr. Justin Drake. His previous work focused on combining SRC kinase inhibitor saracatinib with enzalutamide as a treatment for castration-resistant prostate cancer. Currently, under the advisement of Dr. Donita Brady, he is using chemoproteomics to identify metalloprotein vulnerabilities in cancer. Outside of science, he enjoys expressing himself in the arts and sciences through music production, painting/drawing, as well as science outreach. Ralph hopes to establish his own laboratory and mentor the next generation of scientists to battle cancer while using his science communication efforts to excite the public about STEM.
