Bio

Dr. Paulina Inara Rodis is an accomplished scholar and educator whose research focuses on race, gender, and the construction of visibility and voice in digital spaces. As a Provost Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Sociology at the University of Pennsylvania, she examined how individuals use social networks and online platforms to build intentional communities, create counternarratives, and challenge dominant discourse. Her work draws from Black Feminist Theory, Digital Sociology, and Social Network Analysis to explore the intersections of identity, resistance, and representation.

She is currently an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Colorado College, where she teaches courses on Racial Inequality, Digital Racism and Sexism, and Communities and Networks. Dr. Rodis brings a mixed-methods approach to her work and is deeply invested in creating research that is both theoretically grounded and publicly engaged.

Beyond her academic commitments, she enjoys playing rugby, debating New England sports, watching television, and spending time with her partner and children.
