Bio
Dr. Frederico Kiffer is a postdoctoral fellow at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), where he investigates how particle radiotherapy can improve therapeutic outcomes in aggressive pediatric brain cancer. Born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Dr. Kiffer always aspired to be a scientist. His journey led him to CHOP, where he is part of the Postdoctoral Research Fellowship for Academic Diversity program.
Dr. Kiffer’s research focuses on the effects of charged particle radiation on memory and hippocampal morphology, aiming to translate these findings into better cancer treatments. He collaborates with experts in the field to explore innovative approaches to radiotherapy, leveraging his diverse background and extensive training. Committed to diversity and inclusion in science, Dr. Kiffer believes that bringing together people from various backgrounds enhances the ability to solve complex problems.
