Claire Witherel
Bio
Dr. Claire Witherel is a dedicated researcher and scholar in the field of bioengineering. She is currently a Senior Scientist at Integra LifeSciences, where she focuses on developing innovative solutions for wound healing and regenerative medicine.
Previously, Dr. Witherel was a Provost Postdoctoral Fellow working in Professor Jason Burdick’s lab. Her research there centered on the development of immunomodulatory hyaluronic acid-based hydrogels for the treatment of osteoarthritis in the knee.
Her research has been published in top peer-reviewed journals, with notable articles such as “Host–Biomaterial Interactions in Zebrafish” in ACS Biomaterials Science & Engineering and “Differential Gene Expression in Human, Murine, and Cell Line-Derived Macrophages Upon Polarization” in Experimental Cell Research.
