The Office of Social Equity and Community invites you to an inspiring event featuring Kemba Smith Pradia, an advocate for criminal justice reform. Kemba’s life story, marked by a highly publicized legal battle and presidential clemency, has inspired many. She is the author of Poster Child: The Kemba Smith Story and an executive producer of the film KEMBA.
Kemba has worked with Members of Congress, led training for Federal and State Probation organizations, and participated in NAACP delegations to the United Nations. She frequently advises senior officials and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the NAACP, and the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice. As founder of The Kemba Smith Foundation, she raises awareness on social issues affecting youth and women
