Fall 2024 Penn HR — Biometric Screenings

About
Fall 2024 Penn HR: Biometric Screenings
Penn’s Division of Human Resources “Be in the Know” wellness campaign is back for 2024-25. Free on-campus biometric screening is available at various University locations from October 8 through November 26. Screenings are open to all benefits-eligible postdoctoral trainees and NRSA postdoctoral trainees. Preregistration is required*.
What You’ll Learn at the Biometric Screening
Quick, convenient, and confidential biometric screenings show you key indicators of your health. Your privacy is strictly protected. Penn will never know your individual screening results, health assessment answers, or personal health goals.
At the on-campus biometric screening, a Health Advocate educator will measure your:
- Blood pressure
- Total cholesterol
- HDL cholesterol
- Blood sugar/glucose
Important Information for NRSA Postdoctoral trainees and researchers
- As a NRSA Fellow, you can participate as a “walk-in” and will not need to register for an appointment.
- Bring your Penn ID to the screening event of your choice, and upon arrival, let Health Advocate staff know you are an NRSA Fellow postdoc and were directed to attend as a “walk-in”. We suggest you avoid heavy appointment times, including the first hour and lunchtime. (Screenings run 9 am-2 pm.)
- Please note, that you will not be eligible to earn any Be in the Know Pulse Cash rewards associated with biometric screening, nor be able to access the Virgin Pulse platform.
- We ask that you disregard all mainstream communications about on-campus biometric screenings and follow the above directions.
