Event: Penn Climate Seminar Featuring R. Jisung Park — Adapting to a Warmer World: The Effects of Heat on Learning and Labor

About
The Penn postdoctoral community is invited to the next installment of the Penn Climate Seminar Series, featuring R. Jisung Park, Assistant Professor at the School of Social Policy & Practice with a secondary appointment in the Wharton School’s Department of Business Economics and Public Policy.
An environmental and labor economist, Dr. Park investigates how environmental factors shape economic opportunities. His research combines data analysis, quasi-experimental methods, and economic modeling to understand how rising temperatures affect learning, productivity, and well-being, and to design policies that support climate adaptation.
Dr. Park earned his PhD in economics from Harvard University and has advised policymakers worldwide, including testimony before the U.S. House of Representatives and briefings for the United Nations, World Bank, and U.S. Department of Commerce. His work has been widely featured in outlets such as The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.
