About

The Penn community and the public are invited to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Post Office at this special Open Studio event hosted by Common Press.

Participants are welcome to drop in and create their own mail-themed art using letterpress printing and rubber stamps. Guests can print a quote from Benjamin Franklin, the first Postmaster General, or design unique mail art using the studio’s stamp collections. This hands-on event honors the legacy of communication and creativity through the art of making mail.

This event is free and open to the public. Please note that non-Penn guests must present a photo ID at the security desk to enter the library.
