Event: New Postdoctoral Trainee (PDT) Orientation

The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA) and the Biomedical Postdoctoral Programs (BPP) are thrilled to welcome new postdocs to a New Postdoctoral Trainee Orientation on January 28th, 2026. New postdoc trainee orientation is essential during the first year at the University of Pennsylvania; therefore, attendance is required for all new postdocs. Postdocs from all schools who started their position on or after August 30th, 2025, are invited to learn about the campus and the resources at Penn that can support their postdoctoral experience.

Orientation will include presentations from some of the following campus resources:

• Office of Postdoctoral Affairs
• Biomedical Postdoctoral Programs
• Penn Human Resources
• Penn Postdoc Association (PPA)
• Du Bois Postdoctoral Circle (DBPC)
• Penn Career Services
• Penn International Student & Scholar Services
• Penn Family Center

Participants will gain an overview of benefits, training requirements, career resources, community groups, and opportunities for engagement across Penn.
