This virtual workshop will walk you through the essentials of understanding your paycheck and building a strong financial foundation. Topics will include:
- How to read and interpret your pay stub
- Taxes and deductions (FICA, benefits, etc.)
- Planning for irregular income or stipend-based funding
- Budgeting strategies for academic professionals
- Navigating financial benefits available to postdocs
