Call for Applications — Penn Engineering Army Educational Outreach Program (AEOP) High School Internship

The Penn Engineering Army Educational Outreach Program (AEOP) High School Internship is a 7-week summer research experience for rising high school seniors from Philadelphia public schools who identify as being underrepresented in STEM fields. This year’s program will run June 21 – August 6, 2024.
We are seeking :
10 Doctoral researchers (1-on-1 mentorship is required). The structure of the research internship may vary, but high school students are required to work full-time for 7 weeks. At the end of the summer, interns participate in a poster presentation. Mentors receive a $700.00 stipend.
Requirements:
– Background check and approval by an advisor (for doctoral students)
– Experience with instruction, mentoring, and/or tutoring is preferred.
