Call for Applications: DLR Projektträger (Germany) — BE READY Joint Transnational Call 2026

The Penn research community, including postdoctoral researchers, is invited to explore the BE READY Joint Transnational Call (JTC) 2026, launched under the European Partnership for Pandemic Preparedness (BE READY Partnership). The call funds transnational, interdisciplinary research projects focused on emerging pathogens and host responses to strengthen pandemic preparedness.

The call is coordinated by DLR Projektträger (DLR-PT), Germany (Joint Call Secretariat) on behalf of participating national and regional funders.

Eligibility caveat (important for U.S.-based researchers): The call permits one external partner from a non-participating country only if that partner has secured their own funding. External partners cannot serve as the coordinator, and their budget share may not exceed 20% of the total transnational project budget.

Partnering Tool (recommended for all applicants): Use the PART FINDER tool to identify consortium partners. Apply the filter Advanced filters → Programme/Call name → “BE READY Partnership” (do not rely on the magnifying glass search).
