Call for Applications — 2026 VIP-3 Postdoctoral Fellowship Program

The Penn research community is invited to apply for the VIP³ Postdoc Program, offered by the Vienna BioCenter. Designed to promote excellence and innovation in the life sciences, the program supports early-stage postdoctoral researchers pursuing interdisciplinary research projects that bridge at least two participating Vienna BioCenter research groups.

Applicants must hold a PhD by May 31, 2026, propose an interdisciplinary project combining the expertise of two participating groups, and have at least one (co-)first-author original research publication or public preprint. Applicants must also meet the MSCA mobility rule, meaning they must not have resided in or carried out their main activity in Austria for more than 12 months in the 3 years before the deadline.

Applications must be submitted by email as a single PDF file, ideally no more than 20 pages, and should include the required application form, CV, research proposal, motivation statement, broader impact statement, and referee information.
